Memorial Union constructionFounded over 100 years ago as B.D. Simon Construction, PCE has a history and tradition unmatched by any other construction firm in mid-Missouri. As innovative engineering has been a long-standing core value of our business, we have built some of the most iconic, recognizable structures in the area over the years, including the University of Missouri’s Memorial Union in 1922.

In 1989, B.D. Simon Construction was reorganized into PCE, creating the company and structure that remains in place to this day. Over the past nearly 30 years, PCE has remained committed to the values and methods that has led to what is now a century’s worth of success.

In 2000, former PCE Chairman Craig Simon was joined by Andy Bonderer, Wade Horn, and Matt Robe in company leadership positions. For 17 years, the four of them led PCE through another period of growth and success.

2017 marked yet another milestone, as Steven Stepanovic and Ryan McCullem joined Simon, Bonderer, Horn and Robe in the company ownership group. PCE is thrilled to have Stepanovic and McCullem along to lead the company into the future.

After being a Principal at PCE for many years, Craig retired in October 2018.
