Project Completion – Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare – Jefferson City, MO
September 24, 2015
Professional Contractors & Engineers had the pleasure of acting as the general contractor on a renovation project for the Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare’s newly purchased “Kathy Carter Building“.
After 35 years of leasing a space that the Coalition had long outgrown, this newly renovated two-story, 14,000 sq ft space will provide 44 rooms and ample space for the Coalition to support the many statewide non-profit organizations that are serving clients with behavioral health needs.
The Coalition supports thirty member agencies staffed with more than 9,500 caring and qualified staff who annually provide treatment and support services to approximately 250,000 clients.
It was an honor to work with the Coalition and we are proud to support a local nonprofit making such a positive local impact. Thank you to Paula Stanley, Director of Administration for the Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare, for this wonderful testimonial about her experience.
“I strongly recommend Professional Contractors and Engineers and Simon Associates, Inc., Architecture. As you might imagine, undertaking such a huge renovation project is never fun, but Wade Horn and his crew and Jody Miller were accessible and responsive, competent and efficient. Working with them was the best part of the experience,” said Stanley.
As seen in the images below, one of the major transformations in the building was the removal of the large steel columns from the basement. The modification required the installation of new foundations and structural steel framing in the basement.
